Payday weekend is here - finally!
Thankfully, bargains are still to be had in the sales, especially when it comes to shoes, boots and bags. The trick is to invest in something that will see you through to spring, a transition piece of footwear as we like to say in the world of fashion.
It's always worthwhile searching for independent online boutiques, especially if you like to discover new and interesting brands. However, we've done a bit of the hard work for you, seeking out the footwear trends you’ll expect to see in spring. And even better, which winter 2018 boots and shoes will suit those trends down to the ground...
Boot Trends for Spring 2019
According to Who What Wear, the boots you should be looking out for include:
- Cowboy
- Knee-highs in spring-friendly shades
- Two-tone boots
- Bovver boots
- Tan and Brown Suede
Cowboy Style Boots
Claudia is definitely rocking this look, but we think it’s the faded jeans and cream jumper that makes this style choice work. If you don’t have these staples in your wardrobe, then we insist that you invest in the combo for spring. Otherwise, get those denim shirts, skirts and dresses out. Double denim and cowboy boots is a sure-fire winner - yeeha!
Coloured ankle boots with detailing will tone down this version of the country girl chic, and also allow you to pair the feet candy with a cute mini skirt - another style favourite for spring 2019.
The Khaki and Brown Ankle Boots from XTI have taken slight influences from the cowboy boot trend, offering a subtle approach. As you can see, they'll transition well into spring with a cute denim skirt in tow.
Spring Friendly Knee Boots
Step into spring with a new shade of knee boot. Shades to watch out for amongst the end of season sales include khaki, taupe, brown and beige.
These are going to look fantastic with the soft floaty dresses that are hitting the high street right now, like these stunning prairie style little numbers.

Or simply pair with jeans and a layering for the ultimate casual spring look. Here's our stunning Carmela over the knee suede taupe boots in action.
Two Tone Ankle Boots
According to Who What Wear, the two-tone trend is inspired by Chanel’s ankle boot masterpiece from autumn/winter 2017. Now if you can find a pair with a very sale friendly price tag, we say GO FOR IT!

However, the two-tone trend has now filtered down onto the high street so watch out for any ankle boots in the sales that gives a friendly nod to the two tone trend. You’ll be delighted of the investment come March.
Our XTI bronze ankle boot with a silver block heel is a great sale choice.
According to Pantone, the bold colours you’ll be seeing on the highstreet this season range from Fiesta Red and Terrarium Moss, to Princess Blue and Sweet Lilac. The neutrals you want to watch out for include Soybean, Eclipse and Brown Granite.

Our bronze beauties will look fab-u-lous with the bolds and even better with the Eclipse. You’ll be seeing these in transitional knits, and with the boots, you’ll create a stunning weekend look.
Bovver Boots
We like to think of these as a cross between a hiker and a biker boot, and this all could be down to Holly Willoughby during her I’m A Celeb stint.

If you’re not fully on board with the Bovver Boot, you can easily tone down the look with some great value boots that you can find the end of season sales. This heeled version is a great way to glam up the look.
Tan & Brown Suede
Now this is a trend we can get on board with thanks to our stunning collection from Carmela this winter.
We also believe that owning a brown pair of boots in 2019 will be a well worthy investment, especially ones in suede. We’ve already mentioned that the cowboy boot is huge, and this trend feels like an extension. It’ll work with jeans and the statement knits, animal print, floral floaty dresses and double denim. In fact, it’s unlikely that you’ll take them off your feet.
